Jan Crouch -
I have worked in the health and social sectors for 30 years.
In the 1990's I trained in Complementary Therapies. Since then I have found that more G.P.'s and the N.H.S., are now recognising the benefits of Complementary Therapies, and use therapists at their surgeries, in hospitals, nursing homes and hospices. I have G.P. referrals, and I have also treated clients in hospital, nursing homes and a hospice.
I am a fully professional qualified and insured practitioner and abide by my Associations Codes of Practice and Ethics.
I have completed a number of post graduate courses. My Associations require its members to retrain in all their therapies every 3 years, complete a First Aid Course, and in addition, every year complete, a minimum of 20 C.P.D. points (continual practitioner development).
By law, practitioners are not allowed to diagnose, prescribe or claim to cure.
On the first treatment you will be required to complete a Case History Form.
This gives me an overall view so I can tailor the treatment to your needs, this sometimes includes, a combination of therapies that I practice.
In rare instances, I will, with the client's permission, contact their G.P. to ask if they will give their permission to proceed with the treatment.
If any client does not want me to do that, a disclaimer form will have to be signed before treatment can commence.
I have the right to refuse to give a treatment, if I feel it is not in the client's best interest. However, in the years that I have been a practitioner, I have never had to do this.
After any treatment, it is advised to drink plenty of water, to eliminate any toxins which have been released into the system.
You will probably feel relaxed and sleepy, so give yourself plenty of time to rest and have a bit of 'me time'.
Please feel free to ask me any questions, before, during or after any treatment. It is important to work together to get the best out of the treatment.
I wish to thank all of my clients, past and present, for the wonderful, positive feedback, that they have given to me during the years that I have been in practice
